藝術家徐夢涵的作品涵蓋多樣媒材，其創作內容展現私密與開放的藝術語彙，並圍繞著生死、情慾與生活的軌跡。她從小接受紮實的學院訓練，多年來擅長在作品中，以隱喻呈現視覺張力，尤其以壓克力作品《疼痛》系列最為代表。近年並延伸至攝影、裝置，《手記》系列的油畫，以及從細微中凝視壯麗，用藝術書寫台灣的《Ours》系列；強烈的個人風格與豐沛能量，往往激起觀者情緒的共鳴。
 
藝術家創作自述
疼痛，是一種強烈的字眼。它是令我們意識並證明自己還活著且存在的重要方式。無論肉體的苦楚還是心靈的傷痛，皆是內向、深切屬於自身。儘管這極為私密，卻是普世的人類都曾擁有與無可避免的歷程。當人們知覺生命有限，終將逝去時，疼痛所發揮最大的功能之一，就是為現實的存在尋找意義和理由。

Hsu Meng-Han is a multidisciplinary artist whose work revolves around visions of life, passion, and mortality. Having studied art from an early age, Hsu has cultivated a practice of using metaphor to create visual tension, expressed through an artistic vocabulary that is at once intimately personal and open. Essence of Pain (2011–2021), a series of acrylic paintings, and the oil paintings in her Manuscript series (2016–2021) are emblematic of this style.
In Ours (2020–2021), a series of paintings on Taiwan, she focuses on fine details to elucidate the splendour of subtle forms, honing in on a certain way of seeing that she has refined over in recent years as her portfolio has expanded to include photography, installation, and other forms of art. There is a palpable emotive energy in Hsu’s art and fiercely personal visual language that resonates throughout her work.
 
Pain — a powerfully charged word, a critical reminder that we’re still alive, a testament to our existence. Be it physical suffering or spiritual anguish, all pain points inwards, cuts deep into the self. So incredibly private, yet universal, it’s an inevitable experience, share by all human beings. But it’s only when we’re conscious of life’s finitude, of the fact that it ends, that we see one of pain’s greatest functions play out: a means of finding meaning in reality and reason in existence.
